2010, Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, score 90/100
The Chardonnay grapes are harvested at their optimum ripeness. Following a very light steeping in the press, they are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel at a low temperature, as is the Parellada. Once the two coupages have been done, the tirage takes place followed by the second fermentation in glass bottles. After a minimum ageing of two years, it is ready for tasting.
Pale luminous yellow, with reflections of greenish yellow, small bubbles in string-like formation rise slowly to form a characteristic crown.
Very pleasant, refined and persistent in character with a varietal and ageing.
In the mouth it’s pleasant, soft and creamy. It’s a dry and refreshing nature, rounded with after-taste, elegant, balanced and good.
Broad and harmonious balance, after-taste is honest and persistent.
Serve at 4 to 10 ºC, anytime, as an aperitif or with any type of food. It has a body for robust dishes and sauces.
